It started with a house full of candles I couldn't burn.

I’ve always loved candles—the warmth, the glow, and the way they can make a home feel a little more peaceful. But eventually, I stopped being able to enjoy them. Most scented candles would leave me with severe headaches.

I actually had candles stored throughout my home that I knew I couldn’t burn. I kept them simply because they were pretty. Eventually, I looked at all of them and thought, why am I keeping candles I can’t even light? So I threw them away.

And then I started researching.

I wanted to understand what was in the candles I had been burning and whether there was a simpler way to make them. What started as a search for a candle I could actually enjoy became the beginning of Still Light Co.

The more I learned, the more particular I became about what I was willing to bring back into my home. That eventually led me to beeswax—but I quickly learned that simply choosing beeswax wasn’t enough. Where it came from and how it was processed mattered to me, too.

I was willing to do the extra work to find beeswax that met the standards I wanted for my own home. That same standard is still at the heart of every candle we pour today.

A little dream that became ours.

What started as my search for a candle I could actually enjoy has grown into something much bigger—a dream my husband and I now share.

We want Still Light Co. to become more than a candle company. We want to build something lasting with our own hands, rooted in faith, simplicity, and a genuine desire to make homes better, not worse.

Every candle is still hand-poured by us in small batches, with the same care and intention that went into the very first one. And there’s something incredibly special about knowing that something we made together is bringing a little warmth, peace, and light into someone else’s home.

Why we chose beeswax.

Choosing beeswax was only the beginning. Through my research, I learned that how beeswax is processed matters, too.


I didn’t want to choose beeswax simply because it sounded like the better option. I wanted to know where ours came from and what happened to it before it ever reached us. That led me to intentionally source pure beeswax that is naturally filtered without chemicals, keeping it as simple and close to its natural state as possible.


We pair that beeswax with thoughtfully selected essential oils and leave out synthetic fragrance, artificial dyes, and unnecessary fillers.


Because “beeswax” on a label wasn’t enough for us. We wanted to know what was actually in the candle.

Still Light started with something as simple as wanting a candle I could actually burn. But God has turned that little idea into a dream much bigger than I imagined. Now every candle we pour is a small piece of that dream - made with care, brought into your home, and hopefully bringing a little more peace and light with it.
