What are your candles made from?
Every Still Light Co. candle is hand-poured with 100% pure beeswax, premium wood wicks, and pure essential oils. We never use paraffin, soy, synthetic fragrances, or artificial dyes.
Why beeswax?
Beeswax is a natural wax produced by honeybees. It burns longer than many other waxes, produces a warm, golden glow, and contains no pretroleum-based ingrediants.
Do your candles contain synthetic fragrances?
No. We scent our candles with only pure essential oils. Some of our candles are intentionally unscented for those who prefer the original soft honey scent.
Are your candles safe for people with sensitivities?
Many customers who are sensitive to normal fragranced candles appreciate our essential oil-based candles. We are aware that everyone's sensitivities are different, so we can't guarantee they'll work for every individual. If you already know you don't like essential oil smells, your best pick will be any of our unscented candles.
How long do your candles burn?
Burn time varies by size. Each product page lists an estimated burn time.
Why is my wood wick difficult to light?
Wood wicks may take a second attempt to light. Hold the flame on the wick for several seconds and keep the wick trimmed to about 1/8-1/4 inch before each burn.
How do I care for my candle?
- Trim the wick before each burn.
- IMPORTANT: Allow the wax to melt to the edges during the first burn.
- Never burn longer than 4 hours at a time.
- Keep away from drafts, pets, and children.
How long does shipping take?
Orders are typically processed within 1-3 days before shipping. After it's in the carrier's hands, it takes anywhere from 5-8 business days.
Do you accept returns?
Because our candles are handmade, we don't accept returns on used products. If the order arrives damaged, contact us within the next 24 hours and we'll make it right.
Why did you start Still Light Co.?
We created Still Light Co. after discovering how many candles-even ones marketed as clean-still contained ingredients I was uncomfortable bringing into our home. I wanted a candle made with simple, natural ingredients that we could feel good about lighting everyday.
